2021 Clos Mogador Com Tu is a premium Montsant red from La Figuera, made from Garnatxa and shaped by one of Catalonia’s most distinctive high-elevation village terroirs. The 2021 vintage is widely regarded as strong in northeast Spain, with balanced conditions helping the wine combine ripe fruit with freshness and precision. La Figuera, in the northern sector of Montsant, is known for elevated vineyards and clay-limestone soils that give Garnatxa a more lifted, mineral, finely contoured expression than the richer Mediterranean stereotype.

Awarded 94 points by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, Com Tu opens with vivid aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry and pomegranate, layered with violets, dried Mediterranean herbs and a subtle peppery spice. The palate is supple yet energetic, medium- to full-bodied, with juicy red fruit, a chalky mineral thread, polished tannins and a long, floral, savory finish that keeps the wine graceful rather than heavy. It pairs beautifully with rosemary-grilled lamb chops, duck breast with cherry glaze, or mushroom risotto.

Com Tu is part of the Clos Mogador family project led by René Barbier IV, extending the pioneering spirit of the Barbier name beyond Priorat into neighboring Montsant. The wine is sourced from vineyards around La Figuera and reflects a philosophy centered on biodiversity, sensitive farming and a transparent expression of Garnatxa. Fermentation and élevage are designed to preserve purity and site character, with aging in large, neutral oak foudres to avoid masking the fruit. What makes Com Tu especially distinctive is that it combines serious terroir intent with a human message of inclusion, celebrated through its name and artwork created in collaboration with the Astrid-21 Foundation.
