Vintage Character
Stefano Occhetti Langhe Nebbiolo 2024 is a Langhe DOC red from Piedmont, offering a youthful expression of Nebbiolo shaped by the hills bordering Roero and Langhe. As a very young vintage, it is best understood as a fresh, early-drinking style in which bright fruit and floral lift take precedence over complexity, with a little decanting likely to help the wine open more fully. The area’s mix of calcareous and sandy influences, together with rolling hillside exposures in southern Piedmont, helps give Nebbiolo here its signature perfume, fine structure, and lively tension.

Tasting Profile & Food Pairing
The profile leans toward vivid red cherry, wild strawberry, rose petal, and red currant, with subtle notes of white pepper, dried herbs, anise, and a faint tea-leaf nuance. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and energetic, with high acidity, medium-high tannin, and a graceful, savory finish that keeps the wine precise rather than heavy. This makes it a versatile table wine: try it with tajarin with butter and sage, roast pork loin with herbs, or duck breast with cherry glaze.

Winery Background
Stefano Occhetti is a small-scale Piedmont grower based in Monteu Roero who returned to his family’s land after a previous career in engineering, building a reputation around elegance, transparency, and restraint rather than force. His work centers on careful manual viticulture and a minimalist cellar philosophy intended to let site and variety speak clearly. While detailed élevage for this bottling is not widely documented, the estate style is consistently focused on purity, measured extraction, and polished drinkability, making Occhetti a compelling artisanal name for drinkers seeking a refined, modern expression of Nebbiolo.
