Vintage Character
The 2025 Secret de Léoube Rosé was made in a notably hot year. Météo-France ranked summer 2025 the third warmest in its national record, with unusually hot June weather and deficient rainfall across much of the south. The Provence wine council reported early regional picking from around 12 August and emphasised harvesting during cooler hours to protect rosé aromatics. Secret aims for more line and substance than the easygoing Love rosé, so the year's challenge is to carry ripe fruit without losing the precise freshness that gives the wine its character.

Tasting Profile & Food Pairing
Grenache, Cinsault and Cabernet Sauvignon form the château's blend, at 13% alcohol. Secret is pale, clear and bright, but it is not a fragile rosé: the palate is dry, rich and rounded, with citrus and white-fruit flavours that persist into the finish. In 2025 the warm season gives the white fruit extra generosity, while the citrus line supplies definition. Serve at 10 to 12 degrees with fish tartare, grilled sea bream, lamb cutlets or lightly spiced Asian dishes. The food range reflects a wine with enough body for a meal, not just a quick aperitif.

Winery Background
Château Léoube farms its Mediterranean vineyards organically. Sea breezes and the mixture of schist and clay are constant parts of the estate's identity, while the 2025 summer supplied this release's seasonal context. Secret is harvested exclusively by hand for careful sorting, then directly pressed with slow, gentle juice extraction under controlled temperatures. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place in stainless steel. Natural settling precedes bottling between late winter and early spring. The producer suggests two to three years of ageing potential, allowing the fruit and texture to settle.
