Vintage Character The 2021 Love by Léoube Rosé grew in a Provence season with a slower start than 2020. Budburst lagged by roughly ten to fifteen days across the region, and severe frost on 7 and 8 April damaged some vineyards, although losses were limited in the overall regional picture. A wet spring followed, then a warm, dry summer helped the remaining fruit ripen in healthy condition. Coastal sectors began picking around 20 August. The regional report found moderate alcohol levels and good acidity in the grapes, a promising balance for a rosé that depends on brightness as well as fruit.
Tasting Profile & Food Pairing Love by Léoube Rosé is an organic Côtes de Provence wine based on Grenache and Cinsault for this vintage, at 13% alcohol. Its pale appearance leads into a rounded but fresh fruit profile, with peach, strawberry and a dry finish. The pleasure is not just an instant burst of berry aroma: the softer middle gives the wine enough presence to accompany a meal. The 1500 ml magnum format suits a table of friends, while the wine's own character remains light and food-friendly. Pair it with grilled sea bass, prawns, tomato salad or chicken with herbs. Serve cool, around 8 to 10 degrees.
Winery Background Château Léoube farms organically near Bormes-les-Mimosas, with Mediterranean air shaping the setting of its vineyards. Romain Ott's Love range was conceived to express Provence in a convivial, accessible style. The estate also makes more structured rosés, but this cuvée is intended for relaxed service and immediate pleasure. The 2021 harvest story adds specificity: later spring growth, regional frost risk, then a favourable warm summer that supported sound grapes and acidity, giving a fresh and easy rosé in a generous large format.
