Caroline Morey Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vergers Premier Cru 2020 comes from one of Chassagne’s most admired white-wine premiers crus, a Chardonnay site on the northern side of the village near the Puligny border. The 2020 vintage in Burgundy was warm and dry, producing ripe fruit and generous concentration, yet the best wines retained freshness thanks to timely harvesting and the naturally tension-filled limestone terroirs of the Côte de Beaune. In Les Vergers, stony limestone-rich soils help shape a style that balances Chassagne breadth with notable cut, salinity, and mineral lift.

Working from the same cellar complex as Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey, she has quickly built a reputation for exacting, terroir-transparent white Burgundies. Vineyard work is meticulous and harvesting is by hand; in the cellar, the approach is measured rather than showy, with élevage designed to preserve clarity, energy, and site expression rather than mark the wine with excessive oak. That combination of fine-scale production, serious vineyard sources, and disciplined winemaking makes this a compelling modern benchmark for Chassagne-Montrachet.
