As a non-vintage cuvée built on a perpetual reserve, it reflects several harvests rather than one growing season, giving it a layered, consistent profile shaped by the house’s solera-style approach. Its origin is distinctive: the southern Champagne sector around Urville is prized for Pinot Noir grown on Kimmeridgian limestone and clay, soils that bring tension, chalky grip and a subtly saline finish even in a still expression.

The wine opens with scents of green apple, white peach and citrus peel, followed by hints of wild red berries, almond and light pastry notes. On the palate it is bone dry, bright and finely textured, with high acidity carrying orchard fruit, gentle creaminess and a mineral line that keeps the finish precise and mouthwatering. This is an unusual blanc de noirs in still form, offering both delicacy and quiet depth. Serve it with roast chicken with tarragon, Dover sole meunière, or sushi.
