Domaine Jacques Cacheux Chambolle Musigny 'Les Plantes' Premier Cru 2022
Vintage Character
The 2022 vintage in Chambolle-Musigny was shaped by a notably warm and dry growing season, which contributed to ripe, concentrated fruit and lively acidity in the region’s wines. Domaine Jacques Cacheux Chambolle-Musigny 'Les Plantes' Premier Cru 2022 showcases the finesse and aromatic purity for which this esteemed vineyard is known.
Tasting Profile & Food Pairing
Awarded 91 points by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, this wine reveals fragrant layers of wild strawberry, raspberry, rose petal, and subtle spice on the nose. The palate is silky and refined, offering red fruit flavors alongside delicate earth and mineral notes, culminating in a persistent, graceful finish. Its versatility shines at the table, pairing seamlessly with roast duck, mushroom risotto, or a classic Brie de Meaux, enhancing both simple and nuanced dishes with its elegant profile.
Winery Background
Domaine Jacques Cacheux is a family-owned estate rooted in Vosne-Romanée, with a reputation for traditional Burgundian craftsmanship and meticulous vineyard care. The Cacheux family emphasizes low yields, careful vineyard management, and minimal intervention in the cellar, allowing the unique character of each terroir to be expressed authentically. Vineyards are planted on limestone-rich soils with gentle slopes, and grapes are harvested by hand to preserve quality. Gentle vinification techniques further highlight the aromatic complexity and structure of their wines. The estate’s philosophy centers on respect for the land and a deep understanding of Burgundy’s subtle variations, making each bottling a true reflection of tradition and excellence.
