Domaine Denis Mortet Gevrey-Chambertin Village ‘Ma Cuvée’ 2022 is a finely crafted red Burgundy from 100% Pinot Noir, drawn from several carefully selected Gevrey village parcels to create a harmonious, archetypal expression of the appellation. The 2022 vintage in Burgundy is widely viewed as very good to excellent, thanks to a warm, mostly dry growing season that brought healthy, ripe fruit yet generally preserved freshness and balance in the best-managed vineyards. The nose here is vivid and perfumed, with red cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry, cranberry and hints of redcurrant lifted by violet and rose petal.

On the palate it is medium-bodied yet concentrated, with silky tannins, lively medium-high acidity and layers of red berries wrapped in discreet oak spice, clove, cinnamon, a touch of vanilla and crushed pepper.
