Domaine Georges Noëllat Vosne-Romanée Village 2022 is a classically perfumed Burgundy Pinot Noir from the heart of Vosne-Romanée, delivering the village’s hallmark silk and spice with impressive precision. The 2022 vintage in Burgundy is regarded as a very good year, thanks to a warm, predominantly dry growing season that produced ripe, pure fruit while still allowing well-situated vineyards to retain freshness and balance.
Tasting Profile & Food Pairing
In the glass, this wine opens with lifted aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, red cherry, violet and subtle rose petal, layered with sweet spice, gentle oak toast, clove and a hint of cocoa. The medium-bodied palate is supple and finely textured, with medium, silky tannins and medium-high acidity giving tension to the juicy red fruits. Notes of forest floor, truffle, sous-bois and dried flowers emerge with air and age, leading to a long, perfumed finish. Its elegance and balance make it a natural partner for roast duck breast, herb-crusted rack of lamb or mushroom risotto, and it also suits delicately spiced Cantonese roast goose.

Domaine Georges Noëllat is a small, highly regarded family estate based in Vosne-Romanée, known for its refined, terroir-focused reds from some of the Côte de Nuits’ most coveted vineyards. Now in the hands of fourth-generation vigneronne Sophie Noëllat, who took over from her cousin Maxime Cheurlin, the domaine works primarily with Pinot Noir across appellations such as Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Echézeaux, with an emphasis on careful vineyard husbandry and relatively low yields to capture depth and concentration. In the cellar, the wines are vinified with a light touch and moderate use of oak so that fragrance, finesse and the underlying terroir remain at the forefront, resulting in polished, silky and complex Burgundies that have earned a strong following among enthusiasts of Côte de Nuits reds.
