Vintage Character Domaine Gilbert et Christine Felettig Vosne-Romanée 2018 is a graceful Burgundy Pinot Noir that captures the perfume and depth of this renowned village. The 2018 vintage in Burgundy was shaped by a warm, sunny season, producing ripe, concentrated fruit with supple tannins and expressive aromatics.
Tasting Profile & Food Pairing In the glass, it reveals dark berry, rose petal, and spice aromas, lifted by incense and a subtle hint of orange rind. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with red and black fruit framed by fine acidity and silky tannins, leading to a long, harmonious finish. Its elegance and depth make it a versatile partner for duck breast with cherry reduction, mushroom dishes, or creamy French Brie.
Winery Background The Felettig domaine began in 1965 when Henri Felettig inherited 2 hectares in Chambolle-Musigny, later bottling under his own name in 1969.
Since 1993, Gilbert and Christine, joined by their children, have expanded the estate to about 12.5 hectares across more than 100 parcels in the Côte de Nuits. Old vines, sustainable farming, and minimal-intervention winemaking define their approach, with partial whole-bunch fermentation, native yeasts, and restrained oak use.
