Rather than a conventional crisp white blend, it sits in a more aromatic, artisanal style, with Moscato's floral perfume supported by the texture and savory grip that can come from a macerated white-wine approach. Cascina Lieto is based around Castiglione Tinella, between the Langhe and Asti areas, where Moscato has deep local roots and can produce dry, expressive wines as well as sweeter styles.
