Vintage Character
Tinnyu’s 2024 Chardonnay comes from the high-altitude Xi-Da and A-Dong village vineyards in Shangri-La, Yunnan, at approximately 2,600–2,800 metres. The sites combine sandy-loam, gravel and red-schist soils, placing the wine firmly in Yunnan’s alpine vineyard landscape.
Tasting Profile & Food Pairing
The grapes underwent a wild cold fermentation for 16–18 days without post-fermentation maceration or malolactic fermentation. The wine was matured for eight months in 70% stainless steel and 30% French 225-litre oak, split between new and one-year-old barrels, then bottled unfined after filtration to remove fine lees.

Tinnyu was founded in 2021 by Leqi Liu and Yuxuan Qiu as an independent Shangri-La project. The team works closely with local growers and uses regenerative vineyard practices, focusing on fruit purity and the distinctive character of Yunnan’s small, high-elevation parcels.
