As a non-vintage bottling, it is crafted to express house consistency rather than a single growing season, and the Extra Brut dosage keeps the style especially incisive and transparent. Its origin in Urville is distinctive: the warmer, Kimmeridgian limestone-and-clay soils of the Aube give breadth and texture, while the rare heritage grapes bring lift, tension and a singular old-Champagne character.
