Vintage Character
Champagne De Venoge Vinothèque Extra Brut 1999 exemplifies the elegance and complexity that mature Champagne can achieve. The 1999 vintage in Champagne was marked by a warm, generous growing season, resulting in fruit with excellent ripeness and a rounded, harmonious structure.

Tasting Profile & Food Pairing
Extended aging on the lees has endowed this wine with sophisticated layers of toasted brioche, almond, and honeyed hazelnut, beautifully balanced by vibrant acidity and a persistent, refined finish. Classic notes of citrus, green apple, and crisp pear shine through, making this Extra Brut a compelling choice for connoisseurs seeking depth and finesse. This mature sparkling wine pairs exquisitely with rich seafood dishes such as lobster thermidor or the nutty character of aged Comté cheese, while its freshness also complements the delicate textures of Cantonese steamed dim sum.

Winery Background
Maison De Venoge, established in 1837 by Henri-Marc de Venoge in Épernay, stands out for its aristocratic heritage and dedication to excellence in Champagne production. The house is celebrated for its ""Vin des Princes,"" originally crafted for European nobility, and its iconic ""Cordon Bleu"" cuvée, both symbols of De Venoge's pursuit of top-tier quality. De Venoge employs a philosophy of extended lees aging and meticulous blending of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier to achieve a harmonious balance of vibrancy and complexity. This unwavering commitment to tradition and refinement has secured De Venoge's reputation as a distinguished producer in the heart of Champagne."
