From the unique chalky slopes of Champagne's Coteaux Vitryats, the non-vintage Antoine Chevalier Ovoïde Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature represents a masterclass in artisanal precision. While non-vintage, this pure Chardonnay offers exceptional depth and value, benefiting from brief aeration to fully express its tight-knit structure. Coteaux Vitryats is renowned for its specific, ultra-pure Turonian chalk soils and southeast exposures, which bestow this cuvée with intense mineral drive, electric energy, and a distinctive, saline-infused finish.

On the nose, it reveals vibrant aromas of crisp green apple, lemon zest, white pear, and delicate white blossoms, underpinned by subtle toasted almond and fresh brioche from extended lees contact. The palate is razor-sharp yet texturally rich, showing a creamy mousse and high, mouthwatering acidity that extends into a long, chalky finish. Committed to organic and biodynamic practices, Chevalier blocks malolactic fermentation and avoids fining or filtration to preserve pristine fruit character. This extremely rare "Ovoïde" cuvée—yielding only about 900 bottles—is fermented and aged in a single concrete egg, where natural convection currents keep the lees in constant suspension, creating an incredibly texturally complex, unfiltered masterpiece.
