From the northern sector of Montalcino, an area prized for fresher air currents and a more tensile, perfumed expression of Brunello, this Riserva draws its distinction from altitude and a style that favors clarity, energy, and finely etched structure over sheer weight.

The wine opens with vivid aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, rose, blood orange and pomegranate, followed by hints of anise, dried herbs and subtle spice. On the palate it is full-bodied yet poised, with high-toned fruit, firm but refined tannins, bright acidity and a long, mineral finish that carries savory notes of tea leaf and tobacco. Its combination of intensity and lift makes it especially compelling with grilled lamb chops, duck ragu pappardelle, or porcini mushroom risotto.
