Domenico Clerico Langhe Dolcetto 'Visadi' 2024
Vintage Character
Langhe DOC Dolcetto Visadi 2024 from Domenico Clerico offers a lively, fruit-driven interpretation of Piedmont’s classic Dolcetto grape. Benefiting from a temperate 2024 growing season marked by moderate rainfall and steady sunshine, this vintage is considered a strong value for the region, producing wines with vibrant acidity and expressive fruit.
Tasting Profile & Food Pairing
Awarded 90 points by Wine Advocate, the Visadi Dolcetto opens with inviting aromas of wild blackberry, violet, and black cherry. On the palate, supple tannins and a juicy, medium-bodied texture frame flavors of plum, blueberry, and a subtle almond note on the finish. Its fresh character and gentle structure make it a versatile partner for roasted chicken, vegetarian lasagna, or a classic cheese board featuring Taleggio. For a touch of Asian cuisine, it also pairs well with stir-fried eggplant in garlic sauce, complementing its fruit and floral notes.
Winery Background
Domenico Clerico is a highly respected producer based in Monforte d’Alba, at the heart of the Langhe region. Since the late 1970s, the estate has been recognized for its innovative approach and dedication to traditional viticulture, focusing on sustainable practices that enhance soil health and biodiversity. The Visadi Dolcetto is sourced from old vines planted in select Langhe sites, with minimal intervention in the cellar to allow the grape’s natural character to shine. Clerico’s commitment to authenticity and quality has established the winery as a benchmark for Piedmont, consistently producing wines that reflect purity, energy, and a true sense of place.
