Legacy Peak Chardonnay 2023 is a premium dry white from Ningxia’s Helan Mountain East, one of China’s most important fine-wine origins. The 2023 vintage was shaped by a warm growing season, giving Chardonnay generous fruit while the region’s pronounced day–night temperature shift helped preserve freshness and definition. At the foot of the Helan Mountains, this desert-influenced terroir combines abundant sunshine, low rainfall and well-drained sandy-loam to alluvial soils, conditions that favor healthy fruit and a clear, mineral-edged expression.
Tasting Profile & Food Pairing
On the nose, expect ripe yellow apple, lemon curd and white peach, lifted by light floral tones, then shaded by vanilla, brioche and a touch of roasted almond. The palate is dry and medium-bodied, with medium-high acidity, a smooth, layered texture and a quietly flinty thread that carries through the finish. Its balance of fruit, oak spice and lees-derived creaminess makes it a versatile table wine: try it with herb-roasted chicken, seared scallops with brown butter, or Cantonese-style steamed grouper.
