Château Chauvin Saint‑Émilion Grand Cru Classé 2018 is a benchmark right‑bank Bordeaux from the northwest of Saint‑Émilion, close to the Pomerol border. Its sandy clay soils with iron‑rich subsoils give Merlot and Cabernet Franc their distinctive depth and finesse. The 2018 vintage was marked by a wet spring followed by a hot, dry summer, producing wines of both richness and structure, with ripe fruit and polished tannins. The blend of 85% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of blackberry, plum, and blackcurrant, lifted by violet, cedar, and sweet spice.
