Arillo in Terrabianca 'Campaccio Collezione' Toscana IGT 2019 comes from a season that built maturity slowly and with useful reserves of water. Spring rain replenished the soils, while the cooler first half of the year delayed the growing cycle. Summer then brought steady warmth without the sharp heat peaks that can disturb ripening. In September, marked day-to-night temperature differences helped the grapes complete phenolic maturity. From Il Tesoro in Alta Maremma, this selection combines Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in a blend with a particularly rounded, composed texture and a long, balanced finish.

Sour cherry and plum provide the fruit core, surrounded by wood-derived nuances, peppermint, graphite and a darker ink-like impression. The palate is broad but refined, with smooth tannins allowing the layers to unfold gradually. Its richness is controlled by balance rather than a sharp contrast of extremes, and the finish remains sustained and orderly. Try it with braised beef, roast venison, or mature hard cheese. The savoury depth of these dishes suits the wine's concentration and wood-aged texture, while giving the fruit and fresh herbal notes enough space to remain distinct.

'Campaccio Collezione' is distinguished here by its specific blend and longer preparation, presenting an unhurried, layered expression of the Maremma estate.
