Château Lafon‑Rochet is a historic estate classified as a Quatrième Grand Cru Classé in 1855, situated in the northern Médoc between Cos d’Estournel and Lafite Rothschild. The property traces its origins back to the 17th century, when it was renamed following the marriage of Antoinette de Guillemotes to Étienne de Lafon in 1650. Today, the estate encompasses around 45 hectares of vineyards, planted predominantly with Cabernet Sauvignon (about 65%) and Merlot (about 30%), complemented by small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
