2021 Limited Addition Limited Old Vine Cabernet Franc comes from the Eola-Amity Hills AVA in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, a distinctive, wind-cooled corridor shaped by the Van Duzer gap. The 2021 growing season was warm and dry, delivering concentrated fruit and ripe tannins, yet the site’s marine influence helped preserve lift and definition, making it a strong vintage for structured, aromatic reds. Drawn from old Cabernet Franc vines in this volcanic-soil setting, the wine captures a rarer side of Oregon, where elevation, persistent afternoon breezes, and well-drained soils favor freshness as much as depth.

Tasting Profile & Food Pairing
In the glass, it opens with red cherry, wild raspberry, plum skin and violet, followed by graphite, cracked pepper, dried herbs and a subtle leafy snap true to the variety. The palate is medium-bodied and finely textured, with bright acidity, supple tannins and a savory mineral thread that carries through a precise, lingering finish. Pair it with herb-roasted lamb, duck breast with cherry sauce, or grilled mushroom skewers with miso glaze.

Limited Addition is the collaborative label of Bree Stock MW and Chad Stock, two influential figures in modern Oregon wine with a shared focus on uncommon varieties and transparent, site-led expressions. Their work emphasizes thoughtful farming, careful fruit selection and a low-intervention mindset that lets vineyard character lead. Fermentations are handled with restraint rather than heavy extraction, and élevage is designed to support structure without obscuring perfume or place. What makes this project especially compelling is its willingness to champion heritage plantings and alternative grapes, showing that the Willamette Valley can speak eloquently through Cabernet Franc as well as Pinot Noir.
