Champagne Lamiable 'Terre d'Étoiles' Grand Cru Brut NV
Vintage Character
Lamiable Terre d'Étoiles Grand Cru Brut is a non-vintage Champagne Grand Cru from the Montagne de Reims, built on fruit from grand cru villages where chalk-rich soils help give the wine both precision and drive. As an NV cuvée, it is crafted for house consistency rather than vintage variation, blending reserve wines to maintain balance, freshness, and depth from release to release. Its origin is distinctive for the meeting of Pinot Noir power and Chardonnay lift, a classic Champagne partnership sharpened by the region’s cool climate and mineral subsoil.
Tasting Profile & Food Pairing
The style is refined yet expressive, opening with aromas of green apple, citrus zest and white peach, followed by hawthorn, bread dough and a gentle touch of brioche. On the palate, the mousse is fine and persistent, carrying crisp orchard fruit, lemony brightness and a subtle almond-cream note into a chalk-tinged, dry finish. It has the structure to satisfy serious Champagne drinkers while remaining inviting at the table; pair it with oysters, roast chicken with morels, or sashimi.
Winery Background
Champagne Lamiable is a family grower-producer based in the Grand Cru village of Tours-sur-Marne, with the estate now associated with the family’s third generation, including Ophélie Lamiable. The house is known for sustainable vineyard work and for focusing on estate fruit that reflects its grand cru origins rather than a broad négociant style. Winemaking is rooted in traditional Champagne method, with bottle fermentation and lees ageing shaping texture and complexity, and the result is a cuvée that stands out for combining grower authenticity with the polish expected from top grand cru Champagne.
