Domaine Jean Grivot Vosne-Romanée Village 2020 is a benchmark expression of this fabled Côte de Nuits appellation, blending several Vosne lieux-dits to capture the village’s hallmark perfume and finesse. The 2020 vintage in Burgundy is widely regarded as excellent, thanks to a hot, mainly dry growing season that produced small, concentrated berries and yielded wines with vivid fruit, ripe tannins and vibrant freshness.

Aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry and cranberry mingle with violet, rose petal and a hint of red plum and fresh herbs, while subtle vanilla, sweet spice, clove and a delicate toastiness reflect its élevage in French oak. On the palate it is medium-bodied with medium-high acidity and silky, fine-grained tannins, carrying through to a long, pure finish layered with early notes of sous-bois, dried flowers, light game, truffle and savory earth. This elegant yet precise Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with roast duck breast, herb-crusted lamb, mushroom risotto, or a simple roasted chicken with thyme.
