From the chalky hillsides of Chablis, the 2020 Domaine Mosnier Chablis Vieilles Vignes is an exceptional expression of old-vine purity. The warm, dry 2020 vintage accelerated ripening while preserving remarkable acidity, resulting in highly concentrated berries with excellent structural tension. This cuvée is sourced from select, sustainably farmed old-vine parcels planted in 1950 and 1964 in the village of Beine, where Kimmeridgian limestone soils rich in marine fossils impart a classic flinty minerality.
Tasting Profile & Food Pairing
On the nose, this brilliant white wine reveals vibrant aromas of crisp green apple, Meyer lemon, and white blossoms, layered over distinct notes of crushed oyster shells and wet stones. The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully textured, showing pristine citrus fruit balanced by high, electric acidity and a subtle hint of brioche from extended lees aging that leads to a long, saline finish. It pairs wonderfully with classic French sole meunière or steamed garlic razor clams.

Founded in 1978 by Sylvain Mosnier in Beine, the estate is now meticulously managed by his daughter Stéphanie, a former engineer who returned in 2007 to apply analytical precision to traditional winemaking. Holding High Environmental Value (HVE) certification, the domaine practices sustainable viticulture and gentle hand-harvesting. Fermented and aged in stainless steel to preserve the integrity of the fruit, this wine showcases the family's dedication to producing authentic, terroir-driven Chablis.
